In life, sometimes you find yourself facing adversity in unexpected ways. Whether that be depression or anxiety, stress due to work or school, family conflict, life transitions, traumatic experiences, or prejudice, life can get complicated quickly, and it’s easy to get overwhelmed.

Fortunately, you do not have to face these struggles alone. As your therapist, I am here to offer you a non judgemental space where you can work through whatever struggles you are dealing with. As a person-centred psychotherapist, I believe in the autonomy and tenacity of my clients. You are the one who knows yourself and your needs the best. My job is to guide you along your journey while providing you with tools to help you manage the stresses of life.

In addition, as a transgender person and member of the LGBTQ2IA+ community, I know how difficult it can be to face life authentically. I promise to provide a safe, accepting space where your identities are not questioned or judged, but rather accepted and celebrated.

I am currently in the process of completing my Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University, and I am a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario.

Throughout our lives, there is one constant that we are forced to manage, change. How we experience change can be uniquely personal and often terrifying! Over time this change can lead to mental health challenges (i.e., anxiety, stress, depression) and sometimes have you questioning the core beliefs of who you are. My task is to make navigating this change a little bit easier and less lonely for you. As your therapist I lean on my collaborative nature, curious mind, and warm heart to help you face challenges head-on.

My approach in getting to know you is empathetic, authentic, and respectful. I create a nonjudgemental, open-minded environment where we can sit with some of the discomfort that you are experiencing, so we can plan a healthier path forward. Genuine expression is a key value of mine, so I want to reassure you that I will always welcome you as you are! I will be present with you, throughout the whole process, as I understand the value in being truly ‘heard’ in your entirety.

If this sounds like the kind of support you are looking for, please do not hesitate to reach out to me for a free 15-minute consultation. I would be interested in chatting with you to better understand your needs and see if we would be a good fit!

Each one of us have the abilities to persevere and thrive despite the challenges that can arise in our lives, but sometimes we need support to help us recognize and tap into these abilities. My goal is to provide a safe, empathetic, judgement-free space for you to identify and build on your pre-existing strengths and add to your ‘toolkit’ of coping skills. You are the expert of your own life, so my focus is to tailor approaches and techniques to best fit your specific needs and goals.

My lifelong fascination and curiosity about the complexities of the brain, human behaviour, and mind-body connections led me to pursue my B.Sc. degree in Behavioural Neuroscience with a minor in Gender Studies. As a member of the 2SLGBTQ+ community, I am also deeply passionate about supporting people within our community as well as people from other diverse backgrounds and cultures. My academic and lived experiences have informed my holistic counselling approach. I pull from a variety of theories to work with you to address the mental, emotional, and somatic components of well-being. So, whether you’re dealing with anxiety, depression, ADHD, relationship issues, or other life stressors, I hope to support you in navigating your unique life circumstances.

I am currently working under the supervision of Yoshie Martinez (M.Ed., R.P., C.C.C., SEP) and Véronique Livermore (M.Ed, RP, CCC) as I complete a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology with Yorkville University.

Hi there! Life is hard. Especially now, we face greater existential challenges than ever before. You don’t need to carry these burdens alone. If you are looking to manage your anxiety, depression, or the everyday stresses of life, I am here to help. I believe in a collaborative approach where you are the expert on your life. My focus is to offer my knowledge and expertise alongside yours to create solutions that work for you. From relationship problems, to climate anxiety, to grief, to problems at work, your problems matter and you deserve to take time for yourself to process them.

I specialize in working with 2SLGBTQIA+ folks. As a queer person myself, it is important to me that I help those in my community with the unique challenges that we face. I also have a background in the arts. I worked as a professional ballet dancer for many years, so I bring a unique perspective of the human body. It has a depth of knowledge, and an ability to work in tandem with the mind to promote mental wellness. I aim to harness the knowledge and power of the body through mindfulness and somatic experiencing techniques.

I am currently a student with Yorkville University practicing psychotherapy under supervision. Sliding scale rates are available. If you are looking to try therapy for the first time, allow me to introduce you to the process. Looking forward to meeting you and beginning the journey of introspection together!
